Shawna Aschoff- Johnson, a self taught artist and educator. Her teaching career spans 15 creative and award winning years while expanding youthful minds and talents. Her ability to forge lasting interpersonal relationships, instill creativity, and adapt the curriculum to different learning environments has helped her rise within the Child Development Industry. She has also gained valuable experience in the field of education and coupled with her education has allowed her to develop multiple skills for educating students under time constraints and other significant learning obstacles.Shawna has a passion for painting. Expressing emotions through paint and connecting with the mind, soul and heart. Her work has meaning, it tells a story, her story.

Nicolette Cotter -Aschoff graduated from the San Francisco Art INstitute with a Bachelor’s Degree in Painting and Drawing. She found her passion and love for art as a young child. Nicolette has blossomed into an amazing Artist who paints with intense emotion. She hopes to utilize her creativity and love of art to create a stimulating and motivating environment for children.
M.A.D wants to give children the same inspiration. To paint with the feelings they feel, the sounds they hear, the moments they are experiencing and releasing their story. Art is not a form of right or wrong it is your own creation. This is why we all create masterpieces.

Nikki Wegener has been teaching in the public school setting for 9 years. She holds a teaching credential in General Education and Special Education as well as a Masters in Special Education. Her love and patience for children is admirable.. Nikki utilizes her passion, love and skills obtained during her educational career to to be apart of M.A.D. and support children’s self-esteem. She sets a fun, free expression environment to watch children explore and find the artist within themselves.
